Dr Cherlsoon Yim
realized that Jesus died for the people of Ghana and decided to come to Ghana as a missionary while he was travelling Ghana in 1996. Since he came to Ghana, malignant gout, which was his chronic disease, often caused inflammation in his ankle, and eventually, the cartilage in his ankle melted away from 2003. Even though he felt pain, he continued to evangelize and plant churches, train new students, and build church buildings and school buildings.
He loves to make things for children, such as playground equipment, furniture for Kindergarten, library bookshelves etc. While he made them, he almost cut his finger, and he suffered multiple face burns in welding. He works every day with a Bible in one hand and tools in the other.

Dr Hwasook Yim
decided to go to Ghana as a single missionary when she heard that Ghana needed a child evangelist from WEC. While receiving missionary training at WEC in England, her health suddenly deteriorated, and she had to return to Korea. She married to Chersloon in 1988 and wait until her family went to Ghana in 1999. However, in the year she went to Ghana, her health deteriorated into liver cirrhosis. She trusted God to cure her health, and in 2016, she was completely healed from liver cirrhosis.
As the principal of GIU International Christian Academy, she developed a gospel-integrated education system with a passion for children’s evangelism. By applying innovative learning methods to students and teachers, students are educated through the best learning methods.

Samuel Yim
grew up in Ghana as a missionary kid. Living on the field wasn’t easy because he attended a local school, was homeschooled, and attended an MK boarding school in Côte d’Ivoire. When he was in eighth grade, at the MK school, there was a civil war in Côte d’Ivoire, so he had to be evacuated. Due to circumstances like this, he rejected God’s call to the mission field. He told God that the hardships he faced as a child were enough. However, God called him once again, by saying “I called you by name.” So he accepted God’s call. He started working as a single missionary in July 2019, after graduating from seminary and completing his military service. His vision, since his college days, is to help develop Ghanaian society, particularly law and politics. He has a dream to cultivate leaders in the legal world. He is studying law at the University of London, and after he completes law school, he will return to Ghana. He will lead Global Intellect University by training the next generation of leaders.
