In 2003 Rev. Eric Asare started Akroso Bible Baptist Church. In 2005, Rev. Heebok Lee donated money for the purchase of property of Akroso BBC. The church met in a temporary facility on the property until 2016, when a Bulkwangdong BBC member donated money for the construction of the church building.
